Streaks
A streak counts days in a row. It is for habits, where the whole point is not missing a day: a lesson every day, a coffee every weekday morning, the app opened on every day of a trip.
You choose what counts as a day, and Gemifier keeps the count for every player.
It has no finish line
A mission ends when somebody reaches the goal. A streak runs for as long as the player keeps turning up. Miss a day and the run goes back to nothing, their record is kept, and the next day that counts starts a new run at one.
For each player you can see the run they are on, the best run they have ever had, whether today already counts, and how long is left if it does not. A player whose run is alive but still waiting is the one to remind.
Who can take part
Everyone, or only the players who match a rule: customers on a paid plan, people who have not visited in 30 days.
The rule is checked once, on the first day that counts for a player. After that they keep counting, even if they stop matching it.
Milestones
A milestone is a number of days that pays something: 7 days for 50 points, 30 days for a free delivery, 100 days for an occasion. It can also pay nothing and simply mark a target players can see.
A milestone pays as soon as a player reaches it. You can choose whether it pays again if they reach it a second time.
Whose midnight
A streak counts calendar days, so it needs a time zone. Each one either follows the player's own or uses a single time zone for everybody. A daily habit usually follows the player. A promotion that has to end at the same moment everywhere does not.
A broken run cannot be repaired, extended or backdated, by you or by support. When somebody deserves making up to, give them points instead.
